Northern Ontario Geocachers

Discovering the North, One Cache at a Time

Northern Ontario Geocachers 2011 Stunt:

With the help of a few local NOG members, what was one geocacher’s crazy idea, turned into reality.

In less then one month’s time, Mike & Jess, Juliendon, Geejo, Choochoo1996, and Headstone pulled it off. It took 41 caches placed in an area spanning 990M by 2970M to make our mark.

Northern Ontario Geocachers FTF Challenge Awards

It looks like another great summer of Geocaching is coming to a close. With the end of the summer, came the end of the first annual FTF Challenge. The BBQ and potluck event was held at the Capreol Cross Country Ski Club and found us crazy cachers, wondering the kms of trails around the grounds looking for some event caches.

With a successful run this year of the FTF Challenge, next year’s challenge is going to be bigger and better. FTF caches will be hidden through out Northern Ontario, with points awarded for cache hides as well as finds.

Meet and Greet Potluck and Pizza

October 22nd , 2011
GC34AAF - Hosted by 1Quest

Come out for an afternoon event with a few caches, food, fellow cachers and lots of fun.

The site has great trails with easy access and facilities to warm up and share food. Trails have flat and hilly sections but nothing a bicycle or large wheeled stroller could not handle.
